Waupaca Foundry earns AFS Casting Competition Outstanding Achievement for the design and production of Oil Tool Solutions' Slimcast Hulk clamp.

Process: Green sand modling, vertically-parted.

Dimensions: 18.6 x 4.3 x 2.9 in. (472 x 109 x 74 mm).
Application: Secures cable and tube of land-based well-bores for the oil/mining industry.

• Partnering with Waupaca Foundry not only onshored the customer's supply chain, but also provided significant cost savings on the total landed manufacturing cost of its new generatin clamp.
• The brand-new part, call Hulk SlimCast, features 5 1/2-in. wellbores, which are smaller in diameter than its predecessors for 7-in. well casing, but longer in length and with thinner walls. This innovation is exteremely adaptable to multiple ESP cable and capillary specifications, all the while standing up to the rigors of use.
• As a bonus, the Hulk SlimCast design is capable of several configurations without requiring individual foundry tooling for each. The result is considerable cost savings in tooling dollars.
