Linamar Corp. Honors Foundry For Top Performance

June 2, 2015—Waupaca Foundry, a Hitachi Metals company, was honored with the 2014 Supplier Recognition Award by Linamar Corporation. Waupaca Foundry was recognized as the top supplier in the castings commodity category for achieving excellence in the areas of quality, delivery, service, and support. Waupaca Foundry is the largest supplier of gray iron and ductile iron castings in the world.

Linamar, a leading global precision machining supplier of highly engineered automotive, off-highway and industrial products, recognized Waupaca Foundry and other top suppliers at an awards ceremony on May 15 at Linamar headquarters in Guelph, Ontario, Canada.

According to Linamar, quality suppliers are essential to their success. “We want to recognize our key strategic suppliers that help us move forward in our industry,” said Caryn Bell, director of purchasing for aluminum and iron castings at Linamar. “Waupaca Foundry is a great partner for us and has helped ensure our parts are manufacturable by being aggressive on value analysis and value engineering which resulted in cost savings.”

Waupaca Foundry has been working with Linamar with gray and ductile iron castings for more than 20 years. Castings supplied include differential cases, housings, bedplate, covers, and others.
